It would be great if the block have two elements:

an editable text field
date field (or date and time). Maybe we would give the possibility of simple configuration? For example, the ability to show the time and the ability to choose the date format. Like this:

MM/DD/YY (02/17/2009)
DD/MM/YY (17/02/2009)
YY/MM/DD (2009/02/17)
D Month Yr (February 17, 2009)
Mon-DD-YYYY (Feb 17, 2009)
