Regression: caret ends up in new list on list split instead of new paragraph #1023

Steps to reproduce:

Place the caret at the end of a middle item on the list of the demo content
Tap an "Enter" to create a new list item
Tap "Enter" again to split the list
Notice that a new empty paragraph is created in place which is good
Notice that the caret is placed on the start of the split list instead of the new paragraph 💥
