To save resources. How to keep detect.py running and waiting for a signal to do the inference.

Hello, I am working in my own trained version with few changes, just to get the coordinates or add a "OK" watermark when it detect what is expected.

Now I would like to get the results as soon as possible, so I thought I can keep it running and checking from a webcam. But it is trying to find something all time and consuming much resources. Also is more difficult to save only the desired pictures instead of a video.

Then... I was wondering if I can keep it running and analyze the picture only when a signal is received (a pressed key or a tag from a plc).

Where I would like to implement this I can not wait to start up the program every time due to it takes around 20 secs, and every second in important in this project.

Finally what I did is to keep it running in webcam mode.
I force it to go into a "while" loop till an specific condition becomes true. In this way it only process one frame when it receive the order.
Also I modified where it save the movie to save .jpg pictures instead.

Probably to keep it waiting into a "while" loop is not the best way to achieve a good save of resources... but is the only way I found.
