Working with new domains

I've tried the tool with the example and the output looks really encouraging. However, for me, it's neither food nor science I am interested in. If I use it with anything new, I get the message that 0 terms were extracted. So if I want to use a different domain what do I do?

I can create a hypernym file (do I need the frequencies; can I make them up?) and feed it in using the --taxonomy option. Would that work? An example of using taxi on a new domain would be nice.
