qt.gui.imageio.jpeg: Corrupt JPEG data: premature end of data segment

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Telegram desktop 5.5.5
2. Open any channel with images or videos
3. Scroll down or up to se posts

Expected behaviour

Smooth scrolling and media display without freezing.

Actual behaviour

Scrolling works jerkily, and it seems as if the Telegram client slows down for half a second or more.
Enabling or disabling hardware acceleration and OpenGL rendering for media have no impact on behavior.
