From reading the web pages it was not immediately clear to me if any tools exists to convert to/from DAR. I am especially interested in conversion to/from markdown (some flavour), TeX (and other people would want Word) and whether it is supported by the pandoc tool. I suggest adding a section on conversion tools and (some of) the formats they handle.

Seconding this -- I'm trying to figure out whether it would be easy for me to use one of the Substance tools and convert the DAR file to a TeX file, in case my collaborators need that.
