I started writing software in my early teens by reading other people's code. Back then, that meant buying books and downloading whatever I could from BBSs. Because of that experience, I feel a sense of responsibility to give back to the community of developers that I learned from. So I create as many open source projects as I can.

I've been programming professionally for over 20 years and have had the opportunity to work in a variety of industries. I never did love 9-5 jobs though, so started my own business 15 years ago. Now, I work 24-7 haha.

I am lucky to have carved out a career writing mobile apps. My days consist of dreaming up new apps, improving older apps, and contributing to open source.

I also try to carve out a little time to give presentations at conferences and live code on Twitch (https://twitch.tv/FrankKrueger).
