The start-up InfinyTech3D has been founded in 2018 by Erik Pernod

InfinyTech3D develops a solution allowing realistic simulation of complex phenomena such as Surgical interventions in Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), with haptic devices (robotic manipulators with force feedback mechanisms) and 3D-rendering devices (VR headset).

Daily, we provide support to the open-source framework: @sofa-framework, improving it's core features as well as developing new plugins. Then the physics engine is ported inside Unity3D and Unreal Engine. This integration is our main product and source of income.

Sponsorship will help us to dedicate more time to the development of the open-source framework and it's advanced features.

For example, recent work have been dedicated on supporting topological changes to simulate cutting, tearing and burning phenomena with physical accurate realism.
