We’re @cwervo & @osnr -- we work on the Folk physical computing system.

Some of the things we're looking into:

  • how to mount ≤5 lb. projectors arbitrarily (e.g. above your desk, in your kitchen, or above your bed)
  • using computer vision to do millimeter-accurate 3D projector calibration & mapping (going beyond pieces of paper on table plane)
  • WIP: high-performance, preemptive, parallel Folk evaluator -- much lower latency and higher scalability
  • bootable live USB so you just plug it into any computer and boot into physical computing OS right away
  • portable projector+camera gadget that you can pick up and use like a barcode scanner to augment and reprogram things
  • how to localize RFID tags with very high accuracy and low latency & use that capability to build new computer interactions
  • hybrid physical/digital applications (whiteboard calendar… physical website…)
