Mars' Rover (An Autonomous Vehicle/Robot which uses Heuristics and Search/Genetic Algorithms)

A 3rd year's project of the BSc. degree of Computer Sciences and Engineering made in FCT NOVA (Faculty of Sciences and Technology of New University of Lisbon), in the subject of Artificial Intelligence. This project was built using Java. The scenario chosen for this project was to help an autonomous vehicle, most precisely, a Rover, in the planet Mars, to find and discover the best path to a specify goal. The terrain of the Red Planet, have critical zones and terrains, that offer more costly travels, which the Rover have more difficulty to go through. So, the main idea it's to help this Mars' Rover to find the best path to its goal, using Search Algorithms with heuristics and costs, as also, Genetic Algorithms.
