An AppleScript and Automator workflow to simplify creating new files in Finder in MacOS
Simply click on new_file_workflow.workflow in Finder to install the service. Next, assign a keyboard shortcut to the service in System Preferences. Then, open a Finder window to a certain directory and press your assigned keyboard shortcut to create a new blank file in the current directory.
