Lively can play video streams as wallpaper.

Not working?

Try the following:

Download the latest version of yt-dlp software.
Close any running video wallpapers.
Navigate to Lively install location.

For non-admin install:

C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Programs\Lively Wallpaper\
For admin install:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Lively Wallpaper\

Open \plugins\mpv\ folder, rename yt-dlp to youtube-dl and copy the file to this location.
Close and re-open Lively, make sure "Detect Streams" is checked in Lively Settings -> Wallpaper > Stream
Simply drag and drop the video website address into lively window to set as wallpaper.

If you did the above steps correctly, after restarting the application stream quality settings should be visible:

Lively Settings -> Wallpaper > Stream -> Video Quality.

Note

This is mainly intended for live streams and will consume internet data.
