I have made you an admin on readthedocs so you can iterate. The way to do this may be to create a new github branch, push your changes there, activate an RTD build for that branch, and then open a pull request from that branch. |

Building documentation in PRs has recently been addressed by ReadTheDocs folks. According to this blog post the feature is in beta. The only requirement to opting-in, is to email them the url of the ReadTheDocs project. |

If I remember correctly, @max-sixty did ask, but the answer was that we had too many PRs (see #3257 (comment)) |

This uses the new version of the readthedocs configuration. As usual, my setup failed on the creation of the environment, so we should try to check that before a merge.
