Hello, It seems I burned out too quickly, I said my optop is old and it's almost impossible to watch streaming video with the web browser, and waiting for the download to finish can be annoying especially if the internet becomes weak, so my trick is to paste the url address of the download link of the video detected by the extension and put this link in vlc or potplayer and it works but it seems to only work 1 or 2 times because I receive an error message when I'm trying the experience again.....
The only solution I found to resolve this problem was to go to the Cat-catch extension settings which offers the option to choose the local media player to preview the video but the preview did not work with vlc and potplayer!
so I informed the Ca-catch developer of this bug and he replied:
" PotPlayer cannot preview, probably because the website has "referer" verification. The good news is that PotPlayer supports the setting of referer parameters, and it even supports URL Protocol.
You just need to change potplayer://${url} to potplayer://${url}/referer=${referer} "
and I applied his advice and added potplayer://${url}/referer=${referer} to the preview option and it works alhamdoulilAllah!
I can watch streaming video in potplayer even if i close the web browser!
and therefore, perhaps our beloved Hls-downloader should automatically add this capital parameter "potplayer://${url}/referer=${referer}" when we copy the url address of the video detected by Hls-downloader because as I explained previously, when we put the link of the URL adresse of the download of the detected video, sometimes it works in potplayer, sometimes it no longer works.....
Thank you very much Mr @puemos for your great generosity and altruism and compassion :)
