It would be nice to be able to plot 3D bar charts, just like this one here:
3dbars 1

It could be used to render discrete values.

3d Bar charts would be super useful to plot discrete observations, 3d histograms, etc

Has there been any progress made on this, at least a workaround?

I was looking into doing this with MATLAB but I realised that I have no way to access that and want to stick with Plotly as much as possible.
