Workloads may be skewed and in many cases, keeping data in cold storage instead of DRAM is cheaper. Let's look into integrating a cold storage approach like "Trekking Through Siberia: Managing Cold Data in a Memory-Optimized Database" by Eldawy et al did for Hekaton:
