Welcome to the Aspen Birdcage project!

This is a project written for and by 3rd party developers to help develop Aspen tools.

If you're a beginner, please check out this 20 minute video to setup IntelliJ that shows how to get started editing Aspen source code. (If you don't want to use IntelliJ but you do want to write compiler-error-free code: download the aspen-xr.jar and plug it into your preferred IDE.)

If you're not a developer but you want to integrate something you see here (such as multithreading, caching, or the Cub architecture), you can reach out to Follett or a contractor for help.

(As of this writing this project is mostly maintained by Jeremy Wood (that's me!). I may be available for occasional work, but Aspen isn't my full time job anymore.)
