How to make meow-visit work only on symbols?

Hi, let say I have this code:

how can I use meow-visit to search for all occurrences of global?

I guess you mean words. It depends on your completion package, for example, I'm using vertico, I can use M-p to select the raw input instead of picking one candidate.

Yes, I meant words, sorry for confusion. I also want to use vertico (with orderless, emark, consult and marginalia), but I couldn't find information about how this package could help with selecting all occurrences of "global". I also checked your config and the only occurrences of M-p is only used for company mode and there is no default keybinding that uses M-p, so I don't know what you mean by that. I didn't want to necrobump, but there is discussion upgrading meow-visit and I thing V command would solve all my issues.

Well, meow-visit uses your current completion system. You only need to know, how to commit the raw input instead of picking a candidate from the list.

Ok, so what is your current setup for committing raw input? I couldn't find it in your config. Now I have vertico, but when I meow-visit, type and hit enter when not selecting anything from the list (you can see it, because I have */77 on counter instead of 1/77) meow-visit still doesn't work like I want to.


Could you explain how exactly did you commit the raw input?

After I hit enter, meow-visit only matches meow, but not meow-visit. This is version of meow I'm using:

To exactly describe what happens with this config:

• hit meow-visit.
• type "meow" with meow-visit-sanitize-completion set to t.
• vertico minibuffer opens up with */75 counter.
• click enter, I can only move between two occurrences of meow with 'meow-search', like in images in comment above.
