<div class="title movement-subheading-smallp">What is the planned scope of customization? Weapon slots, mech components, etc.</div>
<p>Right now, the general consensus is that the team wants to do more customization than in Titanfall 2, but we don’t want to go to the level of CoD loadout min-maxing. The current plan for weapon customization was laid out in the first devlog, but for anyone who didn’t read it, here’s a quick synopsis:</p>
<p>Weapons are each allotted a certain amount of mod slots. Not all weapons will have the same amount of slots, and it will most likely vary between weapon types. Each mod itself takes up a different amount of slots. For example, if your weapon has 5 mod slots, you could not equip 3 level-2 mods, as that would take up 6 slots. It’s important to note that sights will not be grouped with mods, and will take up their own separate slot.</p>
<p>With Rangers, you will be able to pick their core tactical ability, as well as a primary and secondary weapon, a grenade, and two perks (basic loadout stuff). Abilities can be customized by equipping different variations, which can give slight tweaks to how that ability functions. One of the player’s pool of perk choices is also determined by the ability they choose.</p>
<p>Not everything is outlined yet, and everything said is heavily subject to change, but we hope this gives a picture of our plans for customization.</p>
