config.json file empty after reboot

I needed to reboot my machine(digital ocean droplet) for some reason. the next time i ran evilginx i got the error "config: While parsing config: unexpected end of JSON input". i opened up /root/.evilginx/config.json and it was EMPTY!! Any idea how this could have happened or if there's a way to recover? I had about 20 lures set up.
