Description

Unable to open developer tools

Reproduce

  1. Install latest JupyterLab Desktop Application for MacOS Apple Silicon Version 4.1.8-1
  2. View -> Toggle Developer Tools
  3. See that nothing happens

Expected behavior

A chrome window should appear either as a separate window or at the bottom of the page

Context

  • Operating System and version: MacOS 13.2.1
  • JupyterLab-Desktop version: Version 4.1.8-1 (4.1.8-1)
  • Installer: .dmg

Ah, I was able to find an alternative way of opening the dev tools.

  1. Click hamburger icon at the top right
  2. Open Developer tools

I can also reproduce this with Lab Desktop 4.1.8-1 on macOS Ventura.
