Bug Report: Build/install instructions are incorrect

System Information

N/A

Brief Summary of Bug

The instructions to compile no longer work in some cases. This is most likely due to the addition of using vcpkg.

Steps To Reproduce

Try to follow instructions in INSTALL.md (esp. Debian).

Areas Of Concern

Documentation

Estimated Severity

  • Pedantic (code-style, design)
  • Minimal (compiler warnings, legacy support)
  • Minor (incompatibilities, problems that have easy work-arounds)
  • Major (breaking changes, problems with more advanced work-arounds)
  • Critical (major security issues, complete failure)

Possible Fixes

Test each OS's build instructions and update INSTALL.md and any other files with correct instructions.
