Project Proposal

Please fill in the details below to confirm you adhere to the Jazzband Guidelines, and also add the package name to the issue title.

Project Details

maya, https://github.com/timofurrer/maya

Project Description

Quite some time ago I go maintainer ship of maya and it was transferred to my account my Kenneth.
I've never really had the time to maintain it.

The package has 3.3k stars on GitHub.

The teaser of the package is:

Datetimes are very frustrating to work with in Python, especially when dealing with different locales on different systems. This library exists to make the simple things much easier, while admitting that time is an illusion (timezones doubly so).

Datetimes should be interacted with via an API written for humans.

Maya is mostly built around the headaches and use-cases around parsing datetime data from websites.

Project Leads

There aren't any I my ask is if there are people around here who would like to take it over.

Confirmation of Guidelines

Hi,
I personally just went through a Jazzband transfer for django-invitations, wagtailmenus and django-cookie-consent. Since then, we have been unable to publish new packages at PyPI due to a lack of roadies. I would advise holding off on a Jazzband transfer until this issue is resolved:
