A well known and documented issue Carthage/Carthage#335 is that IBDesignables are stripped of their @IBDesignable and @IBInspectable tags. This results in the interface builder functionality of the framework when using Carthage to not work.

Well, it doesn't seems to work and the issue was locked. There seem to be some workarounds on app side. Happy to implement a fix in the library if someone points me to it.

@i-schuetz Cosmos had the same issue. Take a look at the fix I implemented here evgenyneu/Cosmos#110
