Change the interface and structure of the toolkit to use a Blender nodes style way of configuring the interface. This would allow for a large amount of complexity such as connecting different filters, processes and image sources in a sequence. With the addition of the machine learning abilities and adjustable colour overlays on the point cloud the possibilities for such a configurable system become very large.
A good example scenario would be connecting two camera sources, a stereo and a thermal. Generating the 3D using the stereo camera and overlaying the thermal data on the 3D point cloud. Then adding machine learning detection of objects which are then labelled in 3D. While this setup would be possible with some modification to the the current format of the toolkit, this would have to be hard coded and a lot less flexible to change in the future as new processes are added.
