Please replace the space inside the brackets with an x if the following items apply:

  • [x ] I've verified that I use the latest version of the add-on by redownloading it from AnkiWeb
  • [using 2.1.40, latest stable] I've verified that I use the latest version of Anki by checking at https://apps.ankiweb.net#download

Your question

does the popup-dictionary support chinese characters/hanzi/汉字? It is able to find related translations (highlighting English words) or the pinyin (a romanized version of hanzi), but not actual chinese characters. Seems like an issue with parsing unknown characters?

I'll dig into the code, but I thought that it'd be easier to issue a question first. :) Might work on it if I've got time.

Had to look it up myself. It's caused by the character length limit here.
