It would be great if we could just generate a plot in GPE, copy the URL and send it to someone. When that person opens the link, they are presented with the same state of the web app as the person who sent them the link.
A possible solution would be to encode all relevant data describing the state of the application (scripts, URLs to the dataset repositories, selected datasets) as base64 string, and embedding this information into the fragment identifier of the generated URL.
