The idea with https://open-vsx.org/ would be to make it available to VSCodium and Eclipse Theia under the motivation explained in https://www.gitpod.io/blog/open-vsx/ and microsoft/vscode#31168.

Instructions to submit it are in https://github.com/eclipse/openvsx/wiki/Publishing-Extensions.

A big extension available from upstream to the Open VSX Registry would be https://github.com/standard/vscode-standard submitted primarily on https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=standard.vscode-standard and later on https://open-vsx.org/extension/standard/vscode-standard which was raised in standard/vscode-standard#111.
