Switch animation from position to translate()

Performance reason: based on Chris Coyier's tale of animation performance and Paul Irish's why moving elements with translate() is better than pos:abs top/left

First tests didn't show much hit (from repaint) and was still well under the 60 fps, but since there is no non-CSS animation fallback, moving to translate seems to make sense.
