Preserve whitelist YAML formatting and comments when recording

The record mode rewrites the whitelist file using the YAML library, removing any comments, formatting or ordering by the user. It should probably just append to the file, and/or try to insert in a reasonable position instead of rewriting and resorting it entirely.
