Official launcher appears to update:

Server List - every 5 minutes
Applications List - Every 10 minutes
News - Every 1 hour

cyberarm added the enhancement label

Refreshes but I still need to make applications list refresh trigger necessary refreshes in Games and Server Browser pages.
