I changed the path, how do i use the --parent flag using autorestic?

I am currently doing a manual backup using restic which I now thing was not good since I didn't add a tag which I do believe autorestic is dependent on the tag being in a certain format. I needed to this manual restic backup since I changed paths in my location config file and I didn't want it to scan all files again so I wanted to use the --parent flag and I didn't see a way to add this flag in the documentation. Should I have just used the autorestic exec command and that would have used it?
