"The total number of workload connections across all connection pools should not exceed 4 times the number of vCPUs in the cluster by a large amount."
The common understanding in the field is that this number refers to the active connections not total connections. Because depending on application logic, the total number of connections could be a lot higher than the active connections.
We've also introduced a dashboard to monitor active connections. Let's update the documents accordingly. Thanks!
