VSCode now uses electron for running tsc, which users pointer compression, in effect introducing a 4GB memory limit on the process. See discussion in electron/electron#31330, microsoft/vscode#151245, and microsoft/vscode#127105.

Unless a workaround is introduced in VSCode, I'd ask that this project not be listed as deprecated/obsolete.
