Hi,
We've enabled X-Ray in lambda constructor using this line AWSSDKHandler.RegisterXRayForAllServices()
When we tried to run the code we got the following exception

One or more errors occurred. (Max allowed object depth reached while trying to export from type System.String)

Our code looking something like this:
var table = Table.LoadTable(dynamoDbClient, "tableName");
var res = table.Scan(filter);
var list = await res.GetRemainingAsync();

Full exception is bellow:

I was able to get around it by customizing the serialization behavior

using ThirdParty.LitJson;
...
JsonMapper.RegisterExporter((HttpMethod method, JsonWriter writer) =>
{    
    writer.Write(method.Method);
});

Thank you for posting your scenario and a workaround. From the error stack it looks like, some request/response parameters returned by res.GetRemainingAsync(); were not serializable.

Addressed with #12 . Workaround still stands for people whom are using the current version. The workaround should have no negative impact on the fix. I should also mention that its possible FelixAv is having a different serialization issue. However the HttpMethod is the only one i've encountered so far after doing several integrations.

@yogiraj07 please fix it, looks like x-ray should work at the minimum with all AWS clients.

@FelixAv After some poking around I think this is likely due to the serialization of Amazon.Util.Internal.ConstantClass which many SDK's use. You can test a fix by adding

JsonMapper.RegisterExporter<ConstantClass>((v, writer) =>
{
     writer.Write(v.Value);
});

Felix can you test that and see if it works? If so I would be happy to put up a PR for it.

You are right. We need to serialize Amazon.Util.Internal.ConstantClass. I also came to same conclusion. We are planning to include this fix in the upcoming release. Please feel free to submit pull request. We are happy to review it.
