First ever deployment fails

Followed the installation instructions exactly. Did bare minimum changes using the website, didn't cloned the repo yet.
I know this is a common problem and I am having it too. pages build and deployment workflow fails:

I have gone through this FAQ regarding Unknown tag 'toc', but I think solution mention there is now obsolete.

Just to make sure: have you set the deployment branch to gh-pages? Like it was done in the video tutorial?

It does not reaches to that point.
Github actions Deploy site fails. It does not create gh-pages branch.

Your current error is not related to unknown tag toc, it is the same as #2755.
