Contributing to Postman Library

First off, thank you for considering contributing to the Postman Library. It's people like you that make the Postman Library such a great tool.

Ways to Contribute

There are many ways to contribute to the project, from writing tutorials or blog posts, improving the documentation, submitting bug reports and feature requests, or writing code which can be incorporated into the library itself. This library is a community project, and we are always open to people who want to use it or contribute to it. You don't need to be a software engineer to contribute to the library. We welcome any kind of help, be it bug reports, documentation, or feature requests.

Reporting Bugs

Bugs are tracked as GitHub issues. To report a bug, please create an issue on our GitHub repository and include as many details as possible about the bug, including steps to reproduce, the expected outcome, and the actual outcome.

Feature Requests

Feature requests are also tracked as GitHub issues. Before you submit a feature request, please check if it's already been requested. If it's a new request, provide as much detail as possible about the feature and why it would be useful.

Pull Requests

Pull requests are the best way to propose changes to the codebase. Here's how to do it:

  1. Fork the repo and create your branch from master.
  2. If you've added code, add tests.
  3. If you've changed APIs, update the documentation.
  4. Ensure your code passes the existing tests.
  5. Issue your pull request!

Documentation

We always need help improving our documentation, whether it's correcting typos, clarifying existing content, or writing new content.

Code of Conduct

This project and everyone participating in it is governed by the Postman Library Code of Conduct. By participating, you are expected to uphold this code.
