With the 3.1.2 update, the footnotes do appear below the pictures and tables. In previous versions it used to be there.

I am having the same issue with footnotes below tables. An yes, I'm using the master branch of version 3.1.2

Hi @gabeLon, for the next release Old Gregg theme will be separated from the JATS Parser Plugin. Its functionality will be available for all themes, not only Old Gregg. I mean displaying JATS XML on the article landing page. I'm definitely planning to make a fix for such things. Meanwhile, as it's more parser's issue than the theme's, can you open an issue on the JATS Parser library page with an example, how the input table looks like in XML, what is expected as a result and the problem itself? I need to reproduce it to fix the issue.
