Adding smooth scrolling will increase overall user experience when navigating through the app and also in the reader.

strong disagree, any alteration to how scrolling works from defaults (1 to 1) makes it feel wrong when compared to other apps on the device (be it pc or android)

Smooth Scrolling is much like Pineapple on pizza. Some like it, some dislike it and the people the dislike it really dislike it.

With that said the current scrolling is very jumpy which is very off putting for some, including myself.
I actually can't use the app due to it causing me to get queasy for some strange reason.

I think if this feature is considered it should have a settings option to disable the smooth scrolling.

If it is possible it would be nice to have the option of enabling smooth scrolling.

Reading webtoons or using "long strip" it would be nice to have a smoother scrolling experience because in the current iteration its quite choppy.
