Convert latex file for Quantum algorithms for Random Feature Sampling into a .Rmd file

Few months ago, Sathya Subramanian shared with us a chapter from his PhD thesis. The chapter is still in LaTeX and we would like to convert it into a proper chapter of the proejct, that is: a .Rmd file.

The files containing the text to be included in the chapters are:

  • appendix--random-features.tex
  • main--random-features.Rmd
  • random-features--q_tau-good.tex and random-features--sigma_lambda-good.tex (these two can become an image as we do in algpseudocode)
  • random-features.bib can be included in

We started converting the .text file into the "main--random-features.Rmd" file, where you can see the rest of the latex ( which is commented ). Please use sparingly the file macros+pkgs--random-features.tex as we should have already included most of the macro in the main project.

You can find the guidelines of the project (at the bottom of the README.md) for writing latex code (i.e. \begin{equation} and \end{equation} ) and check that the projects compiles both in a html website and .pdf file.

Do not hesitate to discuss with us if you have any problem compiling the file.

Bonus points if you use the definitions and theorems in Chapter 3 for quantum access to classical data in the theorems of the chapters on quantum random features.

If you decide to start this issue and you want some clarification or help, just contact me (@Scinawa ) on the discord of the unitary.fund, the slack channel of QOSF or ale@nus.edu.sg
