Why not use a "param" value in ROS launch file,
to choose from Controller / Keyboard / terminal command (ros cmd_vel publisher)

Can you explain what you mean? Are you asking for keyboard support for the functions that are currently joystick-only?

Hello, yes. Add a keyboard control for moves, and poses/walk options
