Hi there - I seem to have gone half way round the world and still haven't found any support for WSL - maybe this site can help !?!
I'm trying to install WSL to use with Visual Studio on Windows 10. I followed these instruction for installing WSL2 and Debian Linux - and I then ran the stated bash command - sudo apt install g++ gdb make rsync zip. Everything seemed to install okay and Debian itself is running fine - but it hasn't made any difference when I launch VS2019.
VS2019 simply doesn't realise that Linux compilation should now be possible (I've tried both CMake and also MS-Build).
I've checked and double-checked and triple-checked and I'm pretty sure I've followed the instructions correctly. Is there something missing from the documentation maybe?
Another possibility is that I'm only using the Community Edition of VS2019. So could this be something which only works in the paid-for versions ?

Or if Community Edition isn't the problem... could it be an issue with my VS version? I'm running Visual Studio 2019 ver 16.3.9 - is that below the minimum requirement maybe?
