Currently, initial-avatars generation only runs inside a browser due to the HTML5 canvas dependency. Supporting the node.js runtime would allow servers to do this as well, which I think is a pretty good use case. https://www.npmjs.com/package/pureimage seems like a nice JS implementation of the canvas API.

Amazing project btw!
