We haven't testing on 4.25 in a while, but have you tried restarting both blender and unreal? Also it is possible that another service could be trying to use one of the ports.

Running this in powershell might help you trouble shoot.

Also if you have any log on the blender and/or unreal side that might help shed some light

Did you run through the steps here to see if your port is in use before the editor is launched? If that looks correct then also check port 9998 too
netstat -an|sls 9998

If both are running and working you should have some thing like this

6766 ok but 9998 nothing.

Its important that you specify when 6766 is in use, that is what we are trying to trouble shoot.

I consistently see a variation on this, which is when setting the paths I get the red warning "No Open Editor ...", when setting the mesh folder. Clicking back and forth between them it eventually clears and is just fine

  • Set mesh folder - get warning
  • Set animation - get warning
  • Click back on mesh folder - still has warning
  • Click on animation - warning disappears from mesh entry
  • Click back on mesh entry - warning disappears from animation entry

Good to go
