Approved — ok to make live. That said, there are two little puzzles to think about over the next while:
• Quebec’s case count trends appear to be growing but not due to a particular variant, that is, all of the variants seem to be rising together. We might not have enough recent genomic samples from QC to discern the recent trends, or it could be an echo pulse of a previous wave. I just raise it because all of the rises in other provinces seem driven by KP.3*
• There are a bunch of red dots near the present in the root-to-tip plot (from 2024), but there’s nothing showing up in the tree (no red from 2024). This could be down-sampling, but there seem to be so many red dots in the root-to-tip plot from 2024 that it makes me wonder if there is a mis-labelling issue going on (they’re actually BA.2.86 descendants).
