See if can get a GUID for each of the objects, can more easily tell if the same object has been re-created, or if new ones were generated.

Maybe we can add a unique GUID to the annotations? So that there is always something unique per instance of a Fragment?

Looks like annotations can only take a constant value, so generating a GUID on the annotation isn't reasonable.
