It seems that notification channels and alerts are globally edited by anyone with appropriate permissions, even if their scope is limited to a team. This causes a risk for users incorrectly enabling / disabling or editing existing alert mechanisms.

I found that we do have a feature request in place to restrict modification of notification channels on a per-team basis. I have added your request to the FR so that it can be prioritized appropriately. I unfortunately do not have a timeframe as to when the feature will be implemented at this time. I apologize for the inconvenience this causes. Let me know if I can be of any further assistance at this time.
We definitely appreciate the feedback, and I completely agree that it is a needed feature. I'm happy to report that the issue has been selected for development as of today. I am in direct contact with the team responsible for implementing this feature, and I will speak to them during my shift tomorrow to see what all would be involved in getting the feature in place. Hopefully after that I can get you a tentative timeline for implementation. Thanks again for the feedback, and I will follow up with you as soon as I hear back on this.
It looks like this feature has been added now and teams have access to their own alerts. Further testing is required but at first glance it all looks good.
