Every time a crewmate completes a task, they get a charge. Every time they start using admin table, vitals, cameras, or door logs (or any other informational things if there are any), it depletes one of their charges. If they are out of charges, they are unable to use those things. Neutral roles and impostors will be unaffected; they can still use those things whenever they want.
This would have the advantage of hopefully reducing admin table/vitals camping and encourage players to do their tasks.
One potential downside is that players might want to maximize their charges. It's possible this would encourage players to leave those things up for a long time, rather than just casually checking them as they go.
One of the problems with Polus and Skeld in particular is that Admin is in the center of the map. So it's pretty natural for players to want to check as they pass from one side of the map to the other. My initial hope was that if they know they can't check, it will encourage them to take different paths around the map. But it's possible that once they get a charge they'll be more likely to use it.
The way we'd customize this would be a new option: "Charges Required to Use <need to find a word to group Admin/Vitals/Cams/Door Logs>". Probably the options are 0, meaning everyone can use them as normal, 1, 2 and 3.
Option: To combat the issue of info camping, we might opt to drain an extra charge every few seconds.
