I am using Anki for studying vocabulary. Some add-ons come with binaries that require patching.
I tried to make it work using the provided fetchAnkiAddon function (similar to fetchGitHub, fetchPypi). But I never managed to get it right. The add-ons need write priviledges and contain unpatched binaries.
Can I somehow use nix-alien to say something along the lines of whenever this binary is called, use nix-alien to run it. Like a permanent patch without the hassle of writing a derivation myself?
I didn't try, but a script that forwards everything to the binary should also work 🤔
