Scenario: You have shot a lot of pictures and want to upload all or most of them at once.

When selecting UPLOAD in an ownCloud directory the user can choose

  1. Files, or
  2. Content from other apps

When selecting 1. you can browse to your image/picture folder and multiselection is possible. BUT you do not have any thumbnail/preview for the images you select. You first have to figure out this manually by going to the Gallery and write down the file names.

Request: It would be VERY helpful to have a preview thumbnail in the files-upload view right next to image files.

Sounds cool. We can try it, but will have to check how it affects the performance.

There is a contribution in progress involving thumbnails for remote files, maybe we can take some advantage of it in this sense.

Stay tuned!

This should be possible with #317 as this issue creates image preview for local files.

My bad: The thumbnail generation is only done for images within owncloud folder.
But in your case you are browsing files on the file system.
Still it should be not that much change.
I will look into it.
